Alax is a herbal product in the form of coated tablets, intended for short- ego use in cases of occasional constipation in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age. It contains powdered aloe leaf juice and buckthorn bark extract. The anthrax compounds contained in the product stimulate peristalsis in the large intestine and increase the amount of water in its lumen, which helps loosen stools and facilitate bowel movements. The effect may si approximately 8–12 hours after administration.
