Espumisan 100 mg/ml oral drops containing simethicone are intended for the symptomatic treatment of symptoms associated with excessive gas si in the gastrointestinal tract, such as bloating and increased gas formation. They can be used in infants, children, adolescents, and adults. Simethicone acts locally in the gastrointestinal tract, helping to bind and break up gas bubbles, facilitating their removal.

HOW TO USE

Shake before use. The dose can be measured using a dropper or a graduated measuring cup. 25 drops correspond to 1 ml of the preparation, or 100 mg of simethicone.

Recommended dosage for symptoms related to excessive gas accumulation:

• Infants: 5 drops in a bottle of milk or on a small spoon before breastfeeding.

• Children 1–6 years: 10 drops 3–5 times a day.

• Children 6–14 years: 10–20 drops 3–5 times a day.

• Adolescents and adults: 20 drops 3–5 times a day.

The medicine can be taken before, during, or after a meal, and if necessary, also at bedtime. Without consulting a doctor, treatment should be continued until symptoms subside, but not longer than 14 days.
